Terms & Conditions
Effective: 15 March 2027
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern your use of the website and services provided by Crossfield IT Training Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12847193) with its registered office at 103 Colmore Row, 5th Floor, Birmingham B3 3AG. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services.
2. Services
We provide professional development training for sysadmin and IT infrastructure operations staff. Our programmes cover incident resolution, configuration management, security for remote workforces, and proactive monitoring. All programmes are CPD accredited. We focus on infrastructure operations; networking, database administration, and application development are outside our scope, and we will refer you to an appropriate provider if those services are what you require.
3. Pricing and Payment
Individual training seats are priced from £1,450 per seat. Corporate bookings of 10 or more seats are available from £1,200 per seat. All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT (VAT No. GB 342 7891 06) unless stated otherwise. A detailed quote will be provided before any booking is confirmed. Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at 4% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Booking and Confirmation
A booking is confirmed when we issue a written confirmation by email. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your preferred dates and delivery format (on-site, at our Birmingham facility, or remote). On-site delivery outside the West Midlands may incur additional travel costs, which will be quoted separately before confirmation. We require a minimum of six participants for on-site delivery.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellations received more than 28 days before the programme start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations received between 14 and 28 days before the start date will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking value. Cancellations received fewer than 14 days before the start date are non-refundable. You may substitute an alternative participant at any time before the programme begins at no additional cost. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a programme due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, in which case you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
6. Intellectual Property
All course materials, documentation, templates, runbooks, and content provided as part of our training programmes remain the intellectual property of Crossfield IT Training Ltd. Participants are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials within their own organisation for internal purposes only. Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared outside the participant's organisation without our prior written consent.
7. Limitation of Liability
Our training is educational in nature and does not constitute professional consultancy or managed services. We are not liable for any decisions made or actions taken based on information provided during our programmes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the relevant programme. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or commercially sensitive information disclosed during the course of our engagement. This obligation survives the termination of any agreement between us. Confidential information does not include information that is publicly available, already known to the receiving party, or required to be disclosed by law.
9. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable data protection legislation, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. By booking our services, you confirm that you have obtained any necessary consents from participants whose personal data you share with us for the purposes of training administration.
10. Website Use
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not use our website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent, or in connection with any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose or activity. We do not guarantee that our website will be available at all times or free from errors. We may suspend or withdraw the website without notice.
11. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, industrial action, fire, flood, pandemic, governmental action, or failure of third-party telecommunications or power supply. In such event, we will notify you as soon as practicable and make reasonable efforts to minimise the impact.
12. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises between us, we will first attempt to resolve it through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation administered by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). If mediation is unsuccessful, either party may pursue the matter through the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent interim relief from the courts where necessary.
13. General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. These terms, together with our privacy policy and any booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between us and supersede any prior agreements or representations. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version will always be available on our website with the effective date shown above.
